ONE CONNECTED PLATFORM

From data file
to payment.

Add connected billing services around the output your existing system already produces. Four capabilities bring documents, customer access, payments, and daily operations into the same workflow.

PRODUCE. PRESENT. PAY. MANAGE.

Four capabilities. One billing journey.

Start with your billing file. Keep staff in control of the setup and approvals, then connect the customer experience with the operational records your team needs.

01

PRODUCE

Turn billing data into customer-ready documents.

Make your billing output useful across statements, delivery, and the customer experience.

  • Supported CSV, Excel (XLSX), XML, and finished-PDF intake.
  • AI-assisted initial mapping, reviewed and approved by staff.
  • Reusable billing profiles, mappings, and custom statement templates.
  • Visual editing with approved PDF backgrounds, branding, messages, supported charts, and bill variations.
  • Payment links, QR codes, inserts, and notices in supported layouts.
  • Production-ready statements, proof packets, recorded approvals, and batch validation.

Source and PDF compatibility are reviewed during setup. Layouts, chart data, and editing permissions follow your approved statement configuration.

02

PRESENT

Give customers a modern way to view and manage their bills.

Keep traditional mailed bills and convenient online access working together.

  • Utility-branded web portals with current bills and PDF downloads.
  • Bill and payment history, plus multiple verified linked accounts.
  • Quick Pay without registration when enabled.
  • Paperless enrollment, print suppression, and coordinated print and digital delivery.
  • Mobile-friendly customer portal screens in English and Spanish.
  • Customer contact and notification preferences.

Portal access, supported notifications, and delivery channels depend on utility setup and customer preferences. English and Spanish apply to customer portal screens.

03

PAY

Make paying as easy as receiving the bill.

Offer convenient choices with clear payment details and appropriate controls.

  • Card and ACH options, subject to merchant approval and enablement.
  • Processor-hosted payment entry and convenient online checkout.
  • Saved payment methods and autopay with an eligible method and configured service.
  • Utility-enabled installment plans and configured partial-payment policies.
  • Applicable fees shown before payment; confirmation details and receipts for eligible settled payments.
  • Authorized refunds and eligible voids, subject to payment status and policy.

Payment availability follows merchant approval, utility policy, and setup. Automatic plan collection requires an eligible bill-linked plan, a usable default saved method, and configured automated processing; account-level plans are not automatically charged.

04

MANAGE

More visibility and control across the billing operation.

Give staff a connected view of the cycle, customer activity, and work needing attention.

  • Guided billing cycles, repeatable setup, proof review, and recorded approvals.
  • Batch totals, anomaly warnings, cycle monitoring, and exceptions.
  • Customer service tools, account activity, and cash/check recording.
  • Counter-payment workflows using supported online payment entry.
  • Delivery monitoring, collections views, and billing dashboards.
  • Payment and settlement reports, finance exports, and configured posting files.
  • Reconciliation exceptions, staff permissions, and activity records.

Posting files are configured for compatible billing-system imports. Reporting uses available platform and processor records, and staff review exceptions. These workflows complement your financial accounting system.

Build around the systems you use.

1781 complements your billing engine, meter-reading platform, customer information system, and general ledger. Source compatibility, delivery connections, merchant activation, and utility policies are confirmed during onboarding.
